We are happy to welcome our new Salon Assistant, Jesse, to the DK family!
Jesse will not only assist the stylists on the floor, but will also be apart of DK's education program, led by Lexi Hoback. He will be learning DK's advance techniques of styling, cutting, and coloring hair.

What do you love about the hair industry?
I love that hair is another form of expression. You can get a feel for someone’s personality without ever meeting them.
Reasons for getting into the hair industry?
I had a friend who was going to beauty school. After passing her state board exam, she opened a two-chair salon with a friend. I saw how much she loved it and thought I would give it a shot. I am glad I did because now I can do what I love for a living
Words to describe your personal style?
Casual street chic: jeans, t-shirt, converse, and boots
What is your source of inspiration?
I love the ocean. It’s powerful, soothing, mysterious and beautiful.
What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
I hope to accomplish much more, but some of my greatest accomplishments were from when I was working under my mentor Ron Pernell. As one of the top stylists in San Francisco, Ron had me assist him in doing hair for fashion shows such as Caroline Herrera at the de Young, The San Francisco Chronicles Style Section, and Oscar de La Renta’s Save the Lake.
Which hair product do you love the most and why?
I love the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil because it helps soften the hair, leaving it smooth and manageable.
